Meet Mrs. Brandon
Greetings LWE Families! I am excited to work with your children as the Lake Windward Elementary Media and Educational Technology Instructor (METI). I am a career educator with twenty-eight years’ experience teaching in the elementary and middle school levels, serving as an Instructional Technology Specialist and leading as a school administrator.
As far as my educational background, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership and an Educational Specialist degree in Instructional Technology. I also earned my National Board Certification in 2001.
My core educational beliefs include creating a supportive and collaborative learning environment with a blend of digital, hands-on and real-world learning experiences, while continuously extending my own learning to best serve our school community.
I live in the Johns Creek area with my husband, while our two college aged sons are off earning their degrees (Go Dawgs & War Eagle!) I’m always happy to give high fives when I see students out in the community and I look forward to working with everyone this year in the Lake Windward Elementary Media Center!

Meet Mrs. Hayes
Hello, I am very excited to be working with Mrs. Brandon this year as the Media Center’s Assistant! This will be my second year at Lake Windward Elementary. While I have lived in Georgia for 26 years, I am from Florida and I graduated from University of Florida with a Fine Arts degree – I have been lucky to be a Gator for many years!
I am constantly learning and I hope to help all the students I work with to hopefully start their love of learning too. As a child I loved to read so being in the media center brings me much joy. I enjoy many school events but I think my very favorite is the school book fair.
I have three teenagers, one is at UCF and the other two are in high school. My children keep me pretty busy when I am not at school.
